Funny at how difficult it can be to write an "about me" section! A few notes though: I am no expert or educationally trained in psychology, philosophy, or most of the other things I'll be exploring here. I'm a former college athlete that turned to business school and investment banking to ultimately find out that the "something" that had always been missing in my life wasn't getting addressed through external "success" measures. My dream or goals had been largely met through a lot of hard work and sacrifices - despite a lot of setbacks, mistakes, unlucky breaks, etc.
Yet, I got to a breaking point (for the second time) and started to step back and really ask myself why aren't I happier given all the good things in my life or the things I had accomplished?

I've always been a pretty reflective person that enjoyed thinking and talking through things with myself or with others and decided that maybe I should start prioritizing this question in my life. So here I am. Working through the question(s). You won't find many conclusions here, just thoughts. This is starting more as a public journal, and I'd hope that it may prove beneficial to someone and that I can learn from anyone else that chooses to read or comment and join the thought process.

I've been fortunate to have people come into my life that have provided wisdom and insight or perspective and I've always tried to be observant of what they have to say, of how they believe, and why they believe that way. Perspective is powerful. Getting the contour of environment we actually live in can shed a lot of light on how we should live within it.
I hadn't heard of this book before a friend gave me a copy and it was one of the most enjoyable reads I've had in a while. Easy to read and a great message, with some very practical applications. Highly recommended!
